What are clay masks and how to use ours

Updated: Jun 25

Unsure how you can benefit from our clay masks? We have you covered with the who, what, where, when, how-to's and why.

What do clay masks do?

Clay masks work to gently physically exfoliate and detox the skin to remove dead skin cells. They leave the skin brighter, feeling softer, and help to keep blemishes and breakouts to a minimum. Masks can help improve circulation, restore skin's PH balance, and help with mild forms of acne such as pimples, blackheads and whiteheads.

Who are clay masks for?

Both of our clay masks are gentle enough for sensitive skin types, and will not dry out your skin as long as you keep them on for the suggested time. Our clay masks are especially useful for oily and acne-prone skin types to absorb excess oil, and keep your blemishes at bay. Both of our masks have been helpful in brightening dark acne spots.

How do we use clay masks?

We have instructions outlined on each clay mask for suggested use. Mix 2 tsp of mask to 1 tsp of water in a bowl to create a paste. Apply to face with fingers or brush. Wash off within 10 minutes when the mask is nearly dry. Use twice a week as a gentle exfoliant to detox, repair, tone, brighten or soften skin. A little goes a long way! You can also use them in targeted areas on the face such as the T-zone, and as spot treatment. For added moisture, mix the mask with a few drops of your face oil.

Ritualize your routine

We have created 2 clay masks with each skin type in mind, with careful thought, research, and formulation into each one. We hope you enjoy adding them to your ritual, and love them as much as we do. Check out our Jasper Clay Mask and Quartz Clay Mask.
